Seven months after her initial court appearance on 17 charges including criminal impersonation, forgery and identity theft, Julie Thayer reached a plea deal with the 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. On Tuesday, July 18, Thayer pled guilty to one count of identity theft and an added count of second degree forgery. She was sentenced to 30 months probation. The 36th annual Old-Fashioned Saturday Night promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Many have noticed movement in the main street clinic project in downtown Haxtun over the past few weeks. Construction crews have begun phase two of the project after Haxtun Health Board of Directors approved a final contract with Skarco Construction in early May. Fleming Schools will have a cross country team when school resumes next fall. The Frenchman Board of Education in Fleming approving adding the sport in a late-May meeting. In addition to approving cross country, the Board selected an organization to develop a District Master Plan.
